Training for Tongji University on Sustainable Urban Development
Urban planners from Tongji University Urban Planning Institute (Shanghai) have been trained by East West Urban Consultancy from 29 June to 8 July 2015 in The Hague. The group was given lectures on different themes from Dutch experts and also had visited the related projects in various Dutch cities and regions.
The subjects are sustainable urban development & traffic planning, landscape design and urban design in the Netherlands, social housing and senior housing development, historical building and neighbourhood preservation.
Furthermore, the Chinese scholars and Dutch experts have discussed and exchanged their experience in above themes. The lectures were given by the urban planners from the municipality of The Hague, the Municipality Rotterdam, famous architects in the Netherlands and East West Urban Consultancy.
Finally presentations were given by the participants in order to reflect what they have learned through the training.
