Zhuhai Resilient City training and city to city cooperation

On 12-13 June, a training on Resilient City is organized in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, China. As the world climate changes, Zhuhai is a coast city who is often threatened by the extreme weather, such as heavy rain, hurricane and flooding. Experts from the Netherlands, Bologna Italy, Valencia Spain came to Zhuhai and present their cases & policies on above issues, aiming at exchange knowledge and experience.

A Duth expert team is formed with landscape architect from TU Delft, urban planner from PalmBout Urban Landscapes, advisor DHV/Royal Haskoning and expert form Amsterdam Water Authority. They brought Dutch climate proof strategies as well as planning methods and new technical measures against water problems.

Moreover, the experts from Valencia & Bologna has presented the experience on resilient policies from their cities in order to explore cooperation opportunities with Zhuhai in the future.

East & West Urban Consultancy has organised the Dutch expert team to China and is in charge of the training programme, will play an important role during the event.
